Saturday September 9th:
Come out and see North Plainfield's Benjamin Lipman perform his Cascading Comedy act. Magic and Comedy on a unicycle outdoors at Vermeule. The  free show will begin at 7pm. In the event of inclement weather, the show will be performed inside the community center.
 
Following the Cascading Comedy show, the Recreation department will present "Moana" outdoors (weather permitting) the movie will begin at 8pm.

Adult Archery 
Same season as Youth Archery (September-November) Tuesday nights at West End from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. Cost: $40
Program starts on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017. See Youth Archery for additional information.

Adult Badminton 
Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 in the Fall (starts mid September) and Spring. The format is Open Gym. Cost: $20. Played at East End gym.

Adult Basketball 
Tuesdays and Thursdays at East End from 7:00 - 9:00 pm in the Fall (starts mid September) and Spring (starts early April) Cost is $20/person.

Adult Volleyball 
Wednesday and Friday nights at North Plainfield High School gym 7-9pm in the Spring (starts early April). The format will be Open Gym. Cost: $20

Men's Softball 
Starts mid-April.Games at Krausche Field This is a team league. If you have a team that would like to join, contact the Recreation office. Cost: $350/per team (umpire fees are not included in team fee). For further information such as rules and schedules, click on the Men's Softball page.

Co-Ed Softball
All North Plainfield Adults 18 years and older are welcome to join our Adult Co-Ed Softball. Starting June, games will be on Sunday afternoons at West End School.Registration fee includes team shirts and umpires.
Cost: $45

To register for any of the above programs, print a form and drop off with your payment; slide it through the mail slot at 93 Greenbrook Road. 

Zumba, Zumba Gold, and Yoga
The Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce our 2nd session for three new adult programs:

  • Zumba - Monday nights starting: Fall 2016 September 11th in Stony Brook gym from 7 pm - 8 pm
  • Zumba Gold (low impact for beginners and seniors) - Wednesday nights starting: Fall 2016 September 12th in Stony Brook gym from 7 pm - 8 pm
  • Yoga - Thursday evenings starting: Fall 2016 September 13th from 7pm to 8pm in the lower level at the Community Center. 

They will be offered once per week, one hour per class. Daily passes and 10-pass cards can be purchased at 
Borough Hall or at the Recreation Office. See announcement for further details.

Tickets may be purchased at the recreation office. Senior cards (photo ID's) are available during the same timeframe. We ask all residents/borough employees to call and make an appointment just to make sure someone is in the recreation office. (908) 756-0247. 

The recreation office is located at 93 Greenbrook Road (not at Vermeule).
